Delivering An Ultimatum

If a transcription agency charges X cents per line, a potential client may say "I'm only willing to pay X minus 3 cents per line. Take it or leave it."
The agency is then forced to decide whether the client is bluffing or whether it's simply not worth the aggravation to take on this kind of client.

Try reversing positions for a second. How would you react to a new patient who said "I'm only willing to give you $10 -- including my co-payment -- for an office visit. Take it or leave it."

You might not want that patient's business.
