Transcriptionist identification number
The computer will mark the report with the identification number of the transcriptionist who transcribed the report.
Job status
The computer will indicate whether a piece of dictation is waiting to be transcribed, has been left in an "open report" status, or has been finished.
Patient's medical record number (optional)
In some systems, each piece of dictation will have the patient's medical record number as an identifying marker.
