Electronic Distribution of Report Copies

How do we get all the reports to each physician's office? Especially if the physician is not picking up his mail at the hospita lon a daily basis? We do it electronically.
A new task is designed wherein someone takes all of the files that have been sorted to Dr. Mears' special subdirectory, compresses them into a single *.ZIP file using a compression utility like Winzip and then sends the compressed (and encrypted according to HIPAA specifications) file to Dr. Mears' E-mail address

Dr. Mears' office staff then downloads the compressed file and unzips it onto their office computer's hard drive. They print out the reports that need to placed in their charts and, when done, store the files in an archival subdirectory on their office computer's hard drive.
