Giving Credit Where Credit Is Due

As recently as 50 years ago (the end of World War II), psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychotherapists were looked upon with extreme suspicion.

As recently as 30 years ago (when America was involved in the Viet Nam War), chiropractors, hypnotherapists, podiatrists, acupuncturists, massage therapists, midwives, and herbalists were regarded as quacks.

Today -- whether or not their insurance will cover the cost -- millions of patients seek out the services of these practitioners. Some of these specialists have become designated healthcare providers for insurance networks.

Some have even become an integral part of the Workers' Compensation claims industry.
