New Drugs and Diseases

Despite our technological sophistication, new diseases keep surfacing. Among those identified in the past 30 years are:

In the meantime, new drugs such as Cialis, Remicade, Protonix, and Botox have entered the marketplace. In an odd twist of fate, thalidomide (which caused much damage earlier in the century) is now having a positive effect on certain AIDS patients.
